Voice, Musical Theatre, Acting and Piano

Katherine is delighted to be joining the Academy as a new vocal and piano instructor. After studying for many years with her piano instructor and training with the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program, she has fostered her professional career as an actor, musician, and musical theatre artist. She has worked as a musical artist with a spread of regional theaters including the Guthrie Theater, the Fulton Opera House, the Arden Theatre Company, and Virginia Repertory Theatre Company among others. Katherine is now providing vocal and text instruction with the U of MN/Guthrie Program, composing, and delving further into the fulfilling world of teaching. She is passionate about nurturing the freedom and authentic expression of each student within the guiding frameworks of music.
