Cassandra McNally Morgan

Cassandra McNally-Morgan received her Bachelor's (2008) and Master's (2012) degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in Vocal Performance under the study of pedagogue Dr. Jean McDonald. She has worked with opera companies in the Twin Cities such as Minnesota Opera and Mill City Opera. Seeking work in the church, Cassandra found her way to Mount Calvary as a singer in the Chancel Choir and Saturday worship band. She has worn many hats at Mount Calvary and now steps into the role of Executive Director of the Academy of Music. She brings with her performance experience, years of teaching experience both privately and in the public school system. While she is operatically trained, you will hear her performing all genres and encouraging students to try the same.  

Cassandra began teaching voice in 2007 while finishing her bachelor's degree, and she has gained extensive experience and expertise along the way. Teaching both privately and in the classroom has given her the tools to build and sustain a successful voice studio. Her teaching philosophy is built on the importance of education, experience and above all, a passion for music. She believes that through a classical foundation, any genre can be achieved and enhanced. She uses classical warm ups and exercises to increase tone production, intonation, breath support, and organic amplification. In your lesson, we will work on diction, posture, artistry and overall performance composure.
