Trent Anderson

Trent has been teaching guitar for 20 years.  He is conversant with a number of contemporary styles including Blues, Bluegrass, Folk, Country, Classic Rock and Swing/Jazz. He has played with several bands and is currently working on forming a jazz duo. Trent strives to provide an accepting atmosphere for his students offering encouragement and constructive feedback. He teaches standard music notation and, for older students, can teach reading guitar tablature. For more advanced students , he also teaches a comprehensive understanding of guitar fretboard theory and the ability to play in all fretboard positions. Trent lives in Excelsior, Minnesota with his family. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, and a master's in Hispanic literature. He taught Spanish for 15 years at the High School and College levels in the Twin Cities area.
