Jeremy Schreifels, percussion

Jeremy is currently living and writing in Saint Joseph, MN. Since receiving his Theory & Composition degree from Saint Cloud State University, Jeremy has been a regular performer with the Saint Cloud Symphony and St. Cloud area worship bands, writing, arranging, and designing for summer marching programs, and developing winter marching percussion programs. Jeremy has a passion for teaching, developing, and inspiring musicians young and old. His website, www.jeremyschreifels.com, features live performance videos on trap, snare, marimba and timpani. Recently, Jeremy has been selected to be a featured composer for Floor Tracks, a gymnastics floor routine music production company, to write and produce music specifically for the gymnastics world. Along with that, Jeremy has been producing music for Inselman Outdoor Music, an Outdoor TV music production company providing royalty free tracks to TV and film producers.

In an effort to create interdisciplinary opportunities in music and the visual arts Jeremy is working with local St. Cloud artists to produce a music CD inspired by works of art. He is also creating spaces and opportunities for visual artists and musicians to combine performances and installations of their works. In being chosen to participate in the Central Minnesota Arts Board Teaching Artist Roster Training Pilot, Jeremy hopes to continue bringing the power of music and art to young artists in places where they are in need of an outlet, an inspiration, or simple encouragement. He is an active member of the American Composer's Forum, American Music Center, Minnesota Percussion Association and the Minnesota Music Educators Association.
