Samantha Cho

Samantha Cho, piano

 
Samantha Cho, a native of California, began her piano studies at the age of four under the tutelage of her mother.  She holds performance degrees from Northwestern University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, where her principal teachers were Paul Schenly and Kathryn Brown.  She is currently a doctoral candidate for Piano Performance at the University of Minnesota, studying under Alexander Braginsky.  Samantha has taught at the Cleveland School of the Arts, St. Joseph's School of Music, and currently teaches Class Piano at the University of Minnesota.  Samantha is also active as a freelance pianist and joined community outreach programs during her studies in Cleveland - performing in retirement homes, hospitals and other venues to help bring music to those not regularly exposed to live performances of classical music.  Samantha holds membership with College Music Society.
